You have to know this before … semi-permanent makeup appointment

It is very important to prepare the skin for the treatment and to moisturize it properly. It is worth to remember that the condition of the skin may indicate that permanent make-up does not heal without any problems. That is why it is so important to consult the PMU artist before, always mark what aesthetic medicine treatments were performed and how long ago, and present the daily skincare routine.

Here are the most important suggestions that I strongly recommend before treatment:

  • No picking, tweezing or waxing eyebrows a week before
  • Hydrate your skin twice a day min 1 week before (serum, cream or oils)
  • No tanning two weeks prior to the procedure
  • No facials 20 days before the procedure
  • Do not drink coffee at least 3hrs before the procedure
  • Do not take Aspirin or Ibuprofen the day of the procedure
  • Do not consume alcohol 24 hours before (and 24 after)
  • Do not expose to the sun min 48hrs

Avoiding all mentioned above will help to achieve the best results and will make the procedure more comfortable. Why is that so important?

The healing process will take approx 4 to 5 weeks and at this time there are various circumstances that can may affect the placement of the pigment in the skin. We want the color to settle well in the skin and make it look beautiful, so it is so important to properly prepare for it also before the treatment, and not only after.
